Neil Young - Time Fades Away (50th Anniversary Edition)

The first album of Neil Young's ditch trilogy is 1973’s Time Fades Away, a live album consisting of previously unreleased material that was recorded at the end of the Harvest tour with Neil’s backing band The Stray Gators. That’s right Neil recorded a LIVE album of completely unknown material a feat never previously done and only attempted a few times since. The album is raw, real, and uncompromising, exploring themes of mortality, desperation, and hopelessness. From the honkytonk piano-driven title track to the hypnotic screams of no, no, no in Last Dance, the song that closes the album, the album is honest, vulnerable and unapologetically human.
