Gil Scott-Heron – Nothing New

Nothing New was recorded between 2005 and 2009 during the same sessions that produced his acclaimed album I'm New Here. Producer Richard Russell compiled the recordings after Scott-Heron's death in 2011. The album presents raw, intimate takes on his earlier work, with each track selected by Scott-Heron himself from a different prior album, interspersed with conversational snippets between takes.
